Goulash with bell pepper is easy to make. The bell peppers make it colorful and impressive.
Ingredients
- 1 lb of pork shoulder
- ½ of onion
- ½ of yellow bell pepper
- ½ of red bell pepper
- 1 tbsp of clarified butter
- ½ tsp of salt
- ½ tsp of black pepper powder
- 2 tbsps of flour
- ½ cup of water
Instructions
- Wash and dice the meat (½’’/ ½’’ each piece).
- Fry the meat on the clarified butter it changes the color to golden-brownish.
- Peel and dice the onion. Add it to the meat.
- Add salt, pepper, and flour. Mix.
- Add water and mix.
- Bring to boil, then reduce the heat and cook for another 10 minutes.
- Wash and cut bell peppers into strips.
- Add bell peppers to your goulash. If you want them to be softer, cook them for a little while.

My Galician grandmother made a variation of this dish. She added smoked paprika. That to me is essential to goulash.
