- 2 lbs / 1 kg of chicken (or turkey) breast
- 3-5 tbsps of all-purpose flour
- 2 tbsps of clarified butter or oil
- 1 cup of water
- 3 heaped tbsps of tomato paste
- salt, pepper
Instructions
- Wash the meat, remove the tendons, and dice.
- Coat the diced chicken breast with flour.
- In a big pot, melt the clarified butter, then fry the chicken for about 3-5 minutes, stirring frequently.
- Add 1 cup of water, then put the lid on the pot.
- Simmer for about 30 minutes.
- Add tomato paste, salt, pepper, and mix. Serve warm.

I never have seen it in Poland, and it’s rather not a traditional Polish recipe. As a matter of fact one rerarly uses the portions of a chicken in a Polish traditional cuisine, but preferably a whole bird. But otherwise it is made according to the traditional Polish cooking techniques, so we may gladly accept is as a Polish dish. 🙂 Some cream would be a good addition.
