The Polish forest glade salad is sometimes also referred to as the mushroom glade salad. This is because of the mushroom caps that are used to decorate the top of the salad. Typically speaking, there are loads of different ways to make Polish forest glade salad.

Usually, people modify the recipe depending on what they have at hand in their pantry. There are two ingredients that are always consistent. Mushrooms, which are what give the salad its second name and a layer of greens. In this recipe, I use parsley as the greens. Once these two layers are added to the top of the salad, it gets its iconic forest-like look.

Adding the last two layers is a lot of fun if you want to involve young children. It is pretty easy for them to sprinkle the greens and add the mushrooms. Older children can help with the whole recipe.

Some of the reasons why this recipe is very popular is because the Polish forest glade salad recipe is really easy to make. The ingredients are easily accessible and cheap. Plus, once you have finished making the salad it looks very good and serves as an attraction on the dinner table.
