This sweet orange, lemon, and pumpkin jam is really easy to make at home. You simply have to cook peeled and diced citrus fruit and pumpkin for a few hours till they fall apart.

Then add xylitol sweetener or sugar if you want to. Pumpkin is naturally sweet, so it tastes just as good without adding any sugar. Mix in the pectin and bottle the jam in sterilized mason jars. Seal while hot and allow to cool.

This jam will last for a year if stored properly! And you can eat it plain on toast or add it to many sweet dishes.

  • We don’t add any sugar, but you can add some if you want to. 
  • Pumpkin jam is high fiber, low carb, keto, vegetarian, and gluten-free.
  • Don’t throw out the pumpkin seeds. You can wash them, then dry and roast them for a tasty snack!
  • To get a marmalade-like flavor, you can add some slices of the orange rind as well while cooking.

Ingredients

  • 4½ lbs (2kg) of peeled and diced pumpkin
  • 4½ lbs (2kg) of orange
  • 2 lbs (900g) of lemon
  • 5-7 tbsps of pectin
  • sugar or xylitol (optionally)

Instructions

  1. Peel and dice oranges and lemons.
  2. Boil pumpkin, oranges, and lemons for a long time until they start to fall apart.
  3. Taste the jam and add sweetener if necessary.
  4. Add pectin and mix.
  5. Pour hot jam into clean, sterilized jars.
  6. Twist off the jars and cool off. Keep in a cold place for up to 12 months.
