Every year, the entire country pauses to celebrate the pillars of our families.
👵 January 21st is Dzień Babci (Grandmother’s Day)
👴 January 22nd is Dzień Dziadka (Grandfather’s Day)
It is celebrated by everyone here—from tiny preschoolers making handmade cards to grown adults visiting with flowers and cake.
I recorded this video with my own Babcia Marysia and Dziadziu Nusiu, and it made my heart so full. ❤️
Even though they don’t speak a word of English, they understand exactly what this community means to me. They support my work at Polish Foodies with such pride. It just goes to show that love (and good food!) needs no translation. They raised me, they fed me, and I love them so much.❤️
